Mitsubishi F2A Fighter "Air Development & Test Wing #501"JASDF"

The Air Development and Test Wing is responsible for carrying out testing and experiments on aircraft, missiles and other systems for Japan's Air Self-Defence Forces. In addition to testing and evaluation of both domestically developed and foreign-procured equipment, the Wing also supports technical tests conducted by the Acquisition, Technology and Equipment Agency, performs fundamental research to acquire basic data on operations, and also carries out checkout flights at the request of the agency. In addition, the unit also trains the test pilots who carry out evaluations, and technically-oriented management staff.The F-2A based with the unit is the first prototype, portrayed in its sporting its high-visibility white scheme with red on the plane's centreline and wingtips.  While it has been modified to match the specifications of the production model, the plane is still flown for testing purposes in these colours.?Molded in white plastic, with decals provided for the red markings?New antenna parts included
